When you're in the Outfitting business, a bear problem is a good thing. We pulled trail camera cards and had a lot of activity at our bait sites. Here's a quick preview of some of the bears we caught on camera. Big bears? Check. Color phase bears? You bet! Hunters are out this week and we know they're going to be a happy bunch.

Just because walleye season is closed, doesn't mean Winoga guests and guides aren't out fishing. As they are in the winter, Lake Trout are fun to catch in the springtime too. Jigging, trolling and casting are all in play when lake trout use shallow water early in the season. Pike (on Lac Seul) and Small mouth bass are also open before walleye season. There's always something to catch at Winoga Lodge!
Even though we got an unexpected springtime dumping of snow (18-inches no less!) the bear baiting program is in full swing. Stay tuned for trail camera pics!
